Meet Mike

Our fearless leader, Mike, has been hooked on horsepower since he was 17—engines, exhaust fumes, the whole deal and landed his first gig turning wrenches for IndyCar legend Michael Andretti as part of the Newman/Haas Racing pit crew—no big deal. But here’s the thing: Mike also did his time in the dealership world—and got just as burnt out on the quotas, upsells, and corporate grind as the rest of us. That’s why he built Arvada German Garage: a place where he could bring real racing-world precision and dealership-level expertise without the dealership headaches. If Mike can help keep an IndyCar alive at 200 mph, you can bet your daily driver is in the right hands.

Over 35 Years of Experience

Arvada German Garage has been part of the Colorado German car scene since 2009, but the garage itself has been a fixture for decades. We took over Wright’s German Motors—a shop with more than 50 years of history—so when you pull into our lot, you’re stepping into a space that’s been keeping Denver-area drivers moving for generations. What makes us different? Our people. Most of our technicians came straight out of the dealership world. They’ve seen firsthand how impersonal, rushed, and overpriced that environment can be—because they lived it. So, when we say we’re just as sick of the dealership grind as you are, we mean it. We chose to leave that behind so we could slow down, do the job right, and actually build relationships with the people who trust us with their cars. This shop is more than a place to fix cars—it’s a continuation of a long-standing local tradition, built on trust, honesty, and the love of German engineering.
